Isaac del Toro has turned the UAE Tour on its head on Jebel Hafeet and will start the final stage in the red jersey.
The UAE Team Emirates - XRG rider began Stage 6 21 seconds down on Antonio Tiberi. After the summit finish, that advantage has swung the other way. Del Toro now leads the general classification by 20 seconds, a 41-second reversal on the race’s defining climb.
Del Toro sits first overall on 18:13:42, with Tiberi second at 0:20. Behind them, Luke Plapp is now the closest challenger outside the leading duo, moving up two places into third at 1:14.
The reshuffle did not stop there. Harold Tejada slips to fourth at 1:25, while Felix Gall jumps three positions into fifth at 1:34. Lennert Van Eetvelt drops to sixth at 1:44, with Derek Gee holding seventh at 1:47 as the gaps stretch out behind the front two.
The changes also ripple further down the standings. Remco Evenepoel moves up a place into tenth at 2:25, while Ilan Van Wilder takes the biggest hit inside the top 11, dropping five positions to 11th at 2:27.
Stage 6 was always set up as the day the UAE Tour would be decided. It has not fully decided it yet, but it has given the race a new leader, a new margin, and a final stage framed by one clear question: can anyone find 20 seconds on Del Toro before the line?
