With the Tour de France quickly approaching,
Chris Froome's hopes of making a return to the Grand Tour have been boosted with his selection for the Critérium du Dauphiné confirmed by
Israel - Premier Tech.
Froome, who is a three-time winner of the Critérium du Dauphiné (2013, 2015 & 2016 ed.), recently said it was "still way too early to say," if he'd be allowed a potential Tour de France swansong later this summer, only returned to action from injury at the Mercan'Tour Classic, working primarily in a supporting role for his teammates and eventually
coming home nearly 18 minutes down on the winner of the day, Lenny Martinez.
Joining Froome at the Dauphine for Israel - Premier Tech will be the likes of fellow experienced head
Jakob Fuglsang, star of the 2023 Giro d'Italia
Derek Gee, Froome's compatriot
Mason Hollyman, former Tour de France stage winner
Hugo Houle, two-time Latvian national champion
Krists Neilands and former Dauphine stage winner
Dylan Teuns.
