Andorra-la-Vella - Coll de la Botella, 125.2 kilometers
The riders set off from Andorra-la-Vella and begin going up the valley for the country's longest ascent: The Port d'Envalira. The riders head towards the French border but instead of climbing directly to the top, they go through the tunnel into Pas de la Casa and then turn around westwards.
In total the climb is 30.6 kilometers long at 4.5%, with altitude then playing a role with the summit at 2400 meters of altitude. The climb begins right from the first kilometers and will mean a strong group can go up the road.
The peloton tackles the Col d'Ordino which is 8.9 kilometers long at 5%; ending with 61 kilometers to go. Afterwards comes Les Pardines which is 4.7 kilometers long at 8%.
It ends with 36 kilometers to go and right after the riders go through a 3.8-kilometer long gravel sector. Before the final climb there is a steep hilltop where we may still see action, but then it is on the Coll de la Botella that the race should be decided.
The riders already ascend before it, but officially it is 11.4 kilometers long at 7%. A climb that is difficult enough for big differences, specially at the end of such a hard day.
