Jury & Fines Tour de Suisse 2026 stage 3 - Heavy fine day for Decathlon

The Tour de Suisse is not only shaped by attacks in the mountains and sprint finishes on the road, but also by the decisions made behind the scenes by the race commissaires. The Swiss race takes place from the 17th to 21st of June and we take a look at the fines, time penalties, relegations, and other sanctions can quickly influence stage results, jersey competitions, and even the overall fight for the overall classification.

- Romain Grégoire (CGF) and sports director Yvon Caer (CGF) are fined 200 CHF each and shown a yellow card for irregular feeding from the team car in the feeding zone

- Photographer Jean Antoine Ponce is fined 1,000 CHF and shown a yellow card for breaching regulations concerning vehicle movements during the race

- Sander De Pestel (Decathlon CMA CGM Team) takes 200 CHF fine, 50 UCI points penalty, 3 mountain classification points penalty, 3 points classification points penalty, and 20'' penalty for sheltering behind and taking advantage of a vehicle's slipstream. Cyril Dessel (DS Decathlon) also takes 500 CHF.

- Maxime Bouet (DS Alpecin - Premier Tech) takes 500 CHF fine for inappropriate behaviour and damage to the image of the sport.
