Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe may be heading into 2026 with what many are already calling a “fantasy team”, but the season ahead could still be defined by Primoz Roglic in ways that go far beyond the transfer headlines. The arrival of Remco Evenepoel has pushed the German squad to a new level, adding yet another superstar to a roster already stacked with quality.
In a setup featuring Evenepoel, Florian Lipowitz, Aleksandr Vlasov, Jai Hindley, Giulio Pellizzari and more, standing out will be harder than ever — even for Roglic himself.
Yet the 36-year-old Slovenian remains one of the most decorated riders of his generation, still hungry for more despite having won almost everything in sight. And with Evenepoel expected to lead the team at the 2026 Tour de France, Roglic’s season naturally shifts towards different terrain — but that shift also opens doors.
For Roglic, 2026 brings the rare chance to target three career-defining milestones that would elevate his already extraordinary legacy even further. They won’t be easy, but for a four-time Vuelta a Espana winner, each remains firmly within reach.

1. Win the Tour de Suisse

One clear objective for Roglic and Red Bull is the Tour de Suisse — the only major WorldTour one-week stage race he has not yet won. His record in the others is extraordinary, claiming all six:
  • Paris–Nice: 2022
  • Tirreno–Adriatico: 2019 & 2023
  • Volta a Catalunya: 2023 & 2025
  • Itzulia Basque Country: 2018 & 2021
  • Tour de Romandie: 2018 & 2019
  • Criterium du Dauphine: 2022 & 2024
In 2025 he was unable to chase the Swiss title due to his Tour de France build-up. But with a different role in 2026, the opportunity finally opens for him to complete the full “7 out of 7” collection.

2. Reach 100 career victories

The second goal is even tougher: joining the exclusive club of riders with 100 professional wins.
Roglic will begin 2026 with 91 victories to his name — nine short of the landmark figure. He claimed three wins in 2025, all at the Volta a Catalunya: two stages plus the overall title. Without his injury at the Giro d’Italia, that tally may well have been higher, but he remains close enough to dream of hitting the century next season.

3. Break the all-time Vuelta a Espana record

Looking ahead to the 2026 Vuelta a Espana, neither Jonas Vingegaard nor Tadej Pogacar are currently expected to ride. The route is still unknown, but historically the race has always suited Roglic’s characteristics.
The Slovenian is already the joint-most successful rider in Vuelta history with four titles, tied with Roberto Heras. If 2026 brings him a fifth, he would stand alone as the outright record-holder of the Spanish Grand Tour.
For a rider who has made a career out of rewriting expectations, these three milestones remain firmly within reach.
