All smiles for Primoz Roglic as he gets back on bike for first time since Itzulia horror crash

For the first time since being forced to abandon the Itzulia Basque Country whilst in the leaders jersey after getting caught up in the mass crash that also sent Jonas Vingegaard, Remco Evenepoel and more to hospital, Primoz Roglic is back on the bike.

Pictured by the social media pages of BORA - hansgrohe, the Slovenian, four-time Grand Tour winner was all smiles as he took the next step in his recovery, en route to hopefully returning to full strength by the Tour de France later this summer.

"We are more than happy to see Primoz Roglic back on his bike and smiling," BORA - hansgrohe captioned the picture of their leader. "He is in the best hands and we wish him a speedy recovery!"

This is great news, especially after the images shared by Roglic on Monday of his battered and bruised body following the incident, covered in plasters and bandages.

Will Roglic be able to make it back to full strength by the Tour de France and be able to compete for that so far elusive Maillot Jaune? Only time will tell.
