After disaster, good news for Team Visma | Lease a Bike - Dylan van Baarle hints at return ahead of Tour of Flanders

Team Visma | Lease a Bike did win Dwars door Vlaanderen after racing with their numbers, but ultimately it was not a positive day overall as the team lost Wout van Aert for the rest of the classics campaign. However, they have Dylan van Baarle back in racing form it appears.

The Dutch team will start the Tour of Flanders without van Aert and Christophe Laporte, whilst Omloop Het Nieuwsblad winner Jan Tratnik also also uncertain to be present after a knee injury suffered in a crash at Dwars door Vlaanderen. Dylan van Baarle has been far from his best form, but he should be present in Flanders.

Van Baarle supported the team's success at the Opening Weekend and then raced the E3 Saxo Classic without results to his palmarès, but still playing an important support role as a very experienced rider. He posted an activity on Strava named "Test, test, check," hinting at being back to racing condition days ahead of Flanders.

His presence would certainly be important for a team that has been losing several riders due to injuries and illnesses - including himself who missed several races recently. The Dutch team will most likely be protecting Matteo Jorgenson who should be the new team leader after the adverse events.
