- MVDP doesn't have to sacrifice himself for GC riders so he doesn't. He absolutely rides for Philipsen when necessary so he's not not a team player. But Wout does whatever he needs to do for Jonas and in turn, it hurts his own goals. MVDP doesn't really seem to even care to be at the TdF. Nothing wrong with that, its just part of the job.
- Dumb and Dumber.
- Jonas has a good group of guys riding for him, it's just that at the end of the day, or stage, you have to hurt a guy who is riding @ 75% up a climb when they are at 105%. It's easier said than done. Tadej has matured as an athlete, no one is beating him if he doesn't want them to...
- Jeannie, you have to understand, those were the days when men ran things and many refuse to give women any credit.
1967 the first female Boston marathon entrant was assaulted on the way by the race manager
1971 Swiss women get to vote for the first time to the dislike of many (men of course)
Righteous Marc Madiot and many others opined women get to do a TdF.
I’m almost ashamed to say all this has taken place in my lifetime and can’t fathom there are still some around who think like that or are reverting to it, most of whom would get beaten by hours by any of the current TdFF contestants.
- Hey Thijs, why are you just commenting and not directing, you could show them all how it’s done, no?
- Huh? What’s so bad about the pics? Surprised it’s so easy for Belgians, most countries are far more strict about photos, a booth would never make it.
By the way Wout, there was no rush unless you’re hiding a trip somewhere exotic, within Schengen and affiliated countries, you can fly on an outdated passport for years.
- Pog is the closest thing we've seen to Eddy in decades - will anyone ever top what Eddy achieved in his career? If Pog can't or chooses to hang it up before getting there, it's highly doubtful we'll see this again, especially in modern cycling. (for the record Eddy won over 500 races in his pro career) Pog just hit 100
- yes, anyplace but the middle of the scrum on a 90 degree bend for a sprint finish, especially since she was within the time cut.
regardless, she would have lost that race anyways. she admitted to the same. she said even on her best day she would not have been able to take 3m out of her time up Col de Madeleine
- nice clickbait "British star explains why Van Aert stands above Van der Poel" - this is the sort of thing that can create bad blood in the peloton. And the article doesn't even support this notion.
- I seriously doubt that different Visma tactics would have changed the outcome. When it came to it, JV lost time on both TTs, and couldn't follow on Hautacam.
