- You’re perspicacious to realise how the noise drowns things out, remember though that no matter how experienced a rider may be, when you’re pushing with all you’ve got until you can’t, the lights up there tend to go out and you don’t have the same thinking capabilities as someone comfortably settled in front of a screen with their mind half-focused on analysing and calculating where the action will lead. They also have far less idea of how things are evolving behind, even less than leaders and it sure isn’t the time and place to have a look to check.
