  Women’s performances are still neglected mainstream. Going back to the profile of average mountainside roadside spectators. I’m pretty sure if you did a survey and asked 100 about PFP, Vos, Longo, only about a third would know any of the names. And THEY are already the more informed spectators who realise (or experienced) that there’s little reward in standing on a flat/downhill stretch and seeing a peleton whizz by either in 30s or at 80km/h.

  Matej Mohoric put it well, saying good on Tadej for honouring the yellow jersey and giving it a go (on Montmartre). And Tadej did not try to take Matej's spot on the podium, he was just enjoying the last few metre of the Tour.
