- Maybe he's a bit like Cameron Mason, who said "For me diamonds aren't made under pressure. They are found in the long grass off the beaten track".
Perhaps Pidcock is similar, but maybe not that he doesn't perform when under too much pressure like Mason, rather that he performs when underestimated.
- I've never been able to figure out Pidcock. Sometimes he shines, sometimes he's a nothing. When he's being bragged about on his form he loses every race. When he says nothing he suddenly wins massively. The media portrays him as the next big thing, but I have no idea where to place him. Can anyone help?
- It's been designed perfectly and almost by chance. You cannot mirror it with any race even if you find a finale exactly the same (in Nice there are a few climbs which are perfect matches). So many things have worked and everyone knows that, which makes it super interesting
- Milan San Remo is probably my favorite one-day race of the year because the nature of the final 50k makes it practically impossible to predict what kind of rider wins. It can be a top GC climber, a pure sprinter, a TT specialist, or a puncheur - depending on the powerplays towards the end.
- In my book, Vingegaard would be the most complete stage racer of all time if he had been more judicious in choosing his birth decade. I thought it would be a long time before someone would eclipse Froome. Who came sooner than I expected after Armstrong. I would rank Merckx and Hinault above Indurain. But no one above Vingegaard. Except....
- You really are thick. You are arguing with yourself. Literally every body here already knows how amazing Pogi is. And his 2024 season was mind blowing. And then he equaled his 2024 season in 2025.
You think Pogi is amazing because his rivals are crap. I am the opposite. For me the reason Pogi is so amazing is because he can consistently beat so many amazingly strong rivals
- MvdP is the better sprinter, he's the more explosive, a group is not good for Pog, he needs to be away preferably by himself to win and UAE knows that. Wout V Aert can beat him tho or if he has to do a long sprint
- And if your legs produced as many Watts as your mouth Pogacar would be out of the number one spot
- I enlighten all of you, especially you cycling fools, who don't know shit about professional cycling.
- Indeed, if the sun is out, then step into the light my friend
