Sardinian Cabras will be then given another opportunity by
UCI at the start of December. The debut this winter must've been cancelled because of heavy floodings on the island which made the race impossible to host. However the organisers are confident that 2025/26 season will finally see riders compete on the new course in Cabras.
And that's about it for "less traditional" places. After Cabras, a block of "more traditional" rounds will follow with five stops in Belgium: Namur, Antwerp, Gavere, Dendermonde and Zonhoven. Spanish Benidorm also won't be left out. Just like this winter, the
World Cup will come to a wrap with a weekend packed with action in Maasmechelen and subsequently Hoogerheide.
Those who did the Maths will notice that right now we have only 11 rounds on the menu.
UCI is still keeping the appointment of Sunday, December 21 open and whether there will be truly 12 rounds or just 11 we should learn soon.
Compared to last year, missing from the calendar are Dublin and Hulst. Dublin may be opting to skip a year due to financial complications for all riders and teams to participate "overseas". On the other hand Hulst won't appear on the
World Cup calendar, but won't disappear from the radar. In fact, the Dutch municipality will host the World Championships in 2026.
