Pim Ronhaar, born July 20, 2001 in Hellendoorn, Netherlands, is a Dutch cyclocross rider and road cyclist. He rides for the Baloise - Trek Lions team and impressed by becoming world champion cyclo-cross in the underpoles in 2021. Ronhaar is known for his technical skills and strength on tough courses. In addition to cyclocross, he is active in road races. A young talent in cycling, he is seen as a promising rider with a strong future.
Pim Ronhaar, born July 20, 2001 in Hellendoorn, Netherlands, began his cyclo-cross career in 2019 by winning the Dutch junior championship. This marked his breakthrough in the sport. In 2020, he impressed in the U23s, with strong podium finishes in international races.
The highlight came in 2021, when Ronhaar became cyclo-cross world champion in the U23s. In 2022-2023, he scored several victories and made the switch to the elite, where he won his first race of the season in Ardooie, but ended his season in early January. On the road he won the Flèche du Sud stage-race in 2023.
2023-2024 proved to be his breakthrough season in cyclocross. His clear talent in the muddy races saw him win not one but two World Cup races - the only victories he achieved in Europe actually. These were the Dendermonde and Dublin races; whilst he finished second in the Dutch national Championships and he also shared the podium with Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert twice: In Baal and Koksijde, two of the most iconic tracks and both in the Christmas block.
In 2024 he won the Flèche du Sud once again confirming his talent as a road rider, and also a stage at the Tour du Mirabelle. This earned him a stagiaire period with the World Tour team Lidl-Trek who has connections with his CX team.
