Even without Thibau Nys and Laurens Sweeck in Cabras, Belgium remain favourites to go 3 for 3 in men's World Cup rounds this winter

Compared to the Netherlands, Belgian entourage for Cabras World Cup is much larger, but even Belgium can't count on all of its trump cards. Most notable is the absence of European champion Thibau Nys.

As has become a bit of a tradition in recent seasons the Belgian ladies are not at the level to rival the favourites from the Netherlands, but as the neighbour country is sending only a small team to Sardinia, the Belgian women might have the unique opportunity to land a podium result.

On the other hand, the Belgian coach Angelo De Clercq has plenty to choose from for the men's race and thus, even without Thibau Nys and Laurens Sweeck, the Belgian flags are expected to fly high on Sunday.
