From the Tour as well comes
Jonas Vingegaard. The Dane last rode the Vuelta in 2020 in support of Roglic on his second Vuelta a win. His role is not fully defined entering the race. It is known that
Jumbo-Visma planned his summer around the possibility of him racing the Vuelta, and after winning the Tour and having the pressure off his shoulders, he decided to make the flight to Spain. He comes in without altitude training and recent racing but should be a key figure in the mountains nevertheless.
Joining them will be
Sepp Kuss who is on his own individual storyline, the American climber has proved instrumental in both Roglic and Vingegaard's respective wins at the Giro and Tour, and now he will race a third Grand Tour in support of both now at the Vuelta. His climbing prowess has been nothing but impressive in 2023, and although he crashed hard in the final mountain stage of the Tour - where he then lost his spot in the Top10 - he has recovered in time to make it into the lineup.
