A big general classification-related crash and an incredibly close photo finish, stage 11 had plenty of drama for a day that had been expected to be relatively quiet.
Sadly for Tao Geoghegan Hart and the INEOS Grenadiers, the former Giro winner is no longer in the race after a crash on a slippery descent that also saw Geraint Thomas and Primoz Roglic go down, Geoghegan Hart was taken away from the race in an ambulance. In the sprint, Pascal Ackerman powered ahead of Mark Cavendish and Jonathan Milan in a nail-biting photo finish.
