A crash has happened at the front of the peloton involving the likes of Maglia Rosa Geraint Thomas, Primoz Roglic and Tao Geoghegan Hart as the bunch attempted to navigate a slippery descent on wet roads.
So far it has been a relatively quiet day for the riders but as the rain began falling yet again, disaster struck at the front of the peloton. Whilst Thomas, Roglic and a number of other riders were able to quickly get back on their bike, Geoghegan Hart remained down and looks in serious pain.
The former Maglia Rosa winner was seen departing the race in an ambulance and we wish him all the best.
