Stage 3 of the
Vuelta a Espana was an explosive day towards it's end. The overall classification contenders launched a few attacks, but a sprint ultimately decided the outcome of the day as Remco Evenepoel outclassed the rest in the summit finish to Arinsal.
The 8-kilometer climb saw Juan Ayuso, Sepp Kuss and Marc Soler on the attack in the final kilometers, thinning down the GC group. Geraint Thomas, Mikel Landa and Eddie Dunbar have lost time, whilst Remco Evenepoel outsprinted Jonas Vingegaard and put on the race lead - with a crash moments after the finish.
