UPDATE: Stage 4 of Itzulia Basque Country neutralised to line with no GC times after horrific crash sees Evenepoel, Vingegaard and more depart in ambulance with Roglic also out

Stage 4 of the Itzulia Basque Country 2024 always promised plenty of drama and sadly that has proved true although in the worst way possible after a horrifically terrifying crash.

The likes of Primoz Roglic, Remco Evenepoel, Jonas Vingegaard, Rigoberto Uran, Sean Quinn and many more all went down incredibly hard into a concrete ditch with all the race's ambulances being required at the scene as a result of the seriousness of the incident, requiring a neutralisation of the race.

UPDATE

It has now been announced that the peloton will ride home in a neutralised manner with no timegaps although the six-man break out front will be allowed to compete for the stage win.
