UCI Rankings Rider Update | Pedersen and van Aert overtake Roglic; Pogacar loses serious points; Carapaz enters Top10 after Giro d'Italia

The Giro d'Italia has changed the appearance of the riders' UCI rankings substantially, and we've got some riders coming into the top spots. Tadej Pogacar remains very firm in the uncontested lead, but the points he's now lost mean his gap to Remco Evenepoel in second place has shortened substantially.

You can check the previous update. Still, the Slovenian continues to have over double the points of all other competitors. Mads Pedersen and Wout van Aert, after a brilliant Giro d'Italia from both, have overtaken Primoz Roglic who has not been able to finish the race. Mathieu van der Poel, João Almeida, Biniam Girmay, Richard Carapaz and Enric Mas currently fill the Top10. Carapaz scored around 1400 points throughout the Corsa Rosa and is the new entry in the Top10.

We've had Isaac del Toro and Derek Gee climb to 14th and 16th respectively with brilliant results in the overall classification, whilst the race's winner Simon Yates actually sits the lowest in the rankings - with this victory, he is now 24th on the rankings.
