UCI Rankings Rider Update | Marc Hirschi, Julian Alaphilippe and Sepp Kuss climb rankings after San Sebastian and Burgos success

This update in the UCI rankings of points scored during the 2024 season includes points scored at the Clásica San Sebastián, Vuelta a Burgos and Arctic Race of Norway.

You can check the previous update. At the Vuelta a Burgos Sepp Kuss took a strong overall victory which propelled him from 26th to 19th position in the rankings. Remco Evenepoel has lost points as his victory at last year's Clásica San Sebastián has now taken place over 12 months ago but remains second whilst Tadej Pogacar maintains a solid second place. Jonas Vingegaard is third and he is expected to score big points this week as he currently leads the Tour de Pologne. Just outside the podium are Jasper Philipsen, Mathieu van der Poel and Mads Pedersen who climbed to sixth. Primoz Roglic is eighth now losing two spots after losing the points from the 2023 Vuelta a Burgos. Wout van Aert is ninth and Juan Ayuso is now tenth. - Aleksandr Vlasov also lost points from Burgos and has lost 2023 Burgos points and has fallen out of the Top10.

There was a move up which was that of Marc Hirschi from 10th to 7th after winning the Clásica San Sebastián. A strong result which sees him now close to Mads Pedersen. Julian Alaphilippe (second) climbed from 64th to 46th) whilst Lennert van Eetvelt (third) climbed from 92nd to 64th.
