In an emotional farewell, Soudal – Quick-Step have said goodbye to one of their most decorated riders, Julian Alaphilippe, who is leaving the team to join Tudor Pro Cycling. Alaphilippe and Quick Step have had one of the best partnerships in the sport in the last decade, and the Frenchman’s incredible run at the 2019 Tour de France will surely be their most memorable moment together.
The team said goodbye to Alaphilippe in an emotional social media video. Patrick Lefevere will be sad to see the two time world champion leave the team, despite their being some tension between the two over the past few seasons.

"Merci, Loulou. The embodiment of panache and a rider who has produced some inspiring, jaw-dropping, tear-inducing, and exhilarating wins that have lifted him to truly historic territory throughout the years, Julian Alaphilippe will say goodbye to the team at the end of this year after more than a decade,” the team wrote.
"In this beautiful documentary covering his time with the 'Wolfpack', Loulou and his Soudal Quick-Step team-mates and staff look back on how he came into the squad ahead of the 2014 season, his rise through the ranks, the victories that have left an indelible mark on the world of cycling, and favourite memories of the last 11 years."
As Alaphilippe moves on to his new chapter, fans will be hoping he can get to somewhere near his best next season, as on his day he is truly one of the most exciting riders in the peloton.
