Not for the first time in recent months, a Soudal - Quick-Step rider has been left out of action for an extended period of time after being hit by a car on a training ride. After Remco Evenepoel in early December, now too Antoine Huby is sidelined.
According to a press release by the Soudal - Quick-Step team, "The Frenchman will be out of action for several weeks." The exact details of the incident aren't noted in the statement from his team, but following is said: "Following a collision with a motor vehicle during training Thursday, Soudal - Quick-Step’s Antoine Huby underwent examinations at the Herentals Hospital today."
"A CT scan revealed that Antoine has broken his shoulder blade which will require him to be immobile for three weeks, followed by a period of rehabilitation and physiotherapy, and he is scheduled to return on his bike in around six weeks," continues the announcement. "Everybody in the Wolfpack family wishes Antoine the best for his recovery," something all associated with CyclingUpToDate can echo.

ANY road safety in Belgium? There used to be an excuse, so many of the older drivers having received a license without proper lessons or even without a practical test but rhey should all be gone by now and things have not improved much, does it pass on genetically?
