Alberto Dainese definitely expected more when signed up to join Tudor Pro Cycling two years ago. But with only one victory and palmares full of results of honor, the Italian seems very likely to change colours in 2026 again.
According to Het Laatse Nieuws, the 27-year-old Italian has agreed to a deal with Soudal - Quick-Step for upcoming period. This is an interesting, if not surprising move viewed from the perspective of the Belgian formation. With two powerful sprinters - Tim Merlier and Paul Magnier already among their ranks, the role of Dainese doesn't seem quite clear.
But if Soudal - Quick-Step are experts at something, it'd be the art of making their sprinters shine. Although the era of Michael Morkov is long over, there is certainly enough depth to build a train around their new recruit.
Thus the team Jurgen Foré continues to actively recruit at the transfer market after previously rumoured acquisitions of Jasper Stuyven (Lidl-Trek), Steff Cras (TotalEnergies) and Alpecin-Deceuninck duo Edward Planckaert and Fabio Van den Bossche.
