From Verge Sport came a collaboration that has changed the colours of Intermarché - Wanty quite a bit. Biniam Girmay, at the head of the Belgian team, was among the riders presented with the Belgian team's new multi-coloured jersey.
Now in early January, it is one of the latest jerseys to be announced in the World Tour peloton. The Belgian team has one of the most modest budgets in the category, however through the popularity and results of Biniam Girmay, have proven to be a very strong investment for sponsors. Hence, it keeps it's main sponsors for the 2025 season, but has a change of attire to spice things up ahead of a new year. The jersey will officially be shown in public on the upcoming training camp.
“It's always exciting to start a new season with a fresh design. The complete makeover reflects the team's ambition for the upcoming season," Biniam Girmay said in a press release. "We’re not one to rest on our laurels after a successful 2024. The red, black, and white kit looks really sharp, and I'm glad they kept a touch of the neon yellow. I always liked that, it's a great touch. The designers have done a great job coordinating everything for 2025. Seeing it all together – the kit, the bikes, the helmets, gloves and shoes – it’s an impressive setup and I’m motivated to ride and race in it."
Verge Sport CEO Michael Magur: "Partnering with Intermarché-Wanty has been a tremendous honor for Verge. As we enter our second year together, this collaboration continues to thrive. Seeing Verge clothing raced in the biggest events on the UCI WorldTour calendar, including the Tour de France, provides invaluable feedback that helps us refine and improve our products for all cyclists. We're proud to support the team and share in their continued success."
