Can
Jonas Vingegaard reclaim the Maillot Jaune at the 2025
Tour de France? If he does, it's likely the strength of the
Team Visma | Lease a Bike support squad will play a key role and the lineup of the Visma team has now been officially confirmed.
With no surprises from the widely rumoured lineup, two-time Tour de France winner Jonas Vingegaard will be joined by a star-studded support squad. Former Vuelta a Espana winner
Sepp Kuss and the reigning Giro d'Italia champion
Simon Yates will give considerable mountain help, whilst American star
Matteo Jorgenson is likely to offer up a back-up option for the general classification.
Support on the flat comes from powerhouses
Victor Campenaerts and
Edoardo Affini, with the always reliable
Tiesj Benoot present also. The key factor however, could prove to be
Wout van Aert. The Belgian has played important roles for Vingegaard in the past, and was decisive in Yates' Giro win earlier this year. Similar performances from the 9-time Tour stage winner this time around could be telling.
"With these eight very strong riders, we believe in the plan we made for the Tour de France. From day one we will have to be there as a team to optimally assist Jonas in the GC," says Grischa Niermann, Head of Racing, at Team Visma | Lease a Bike in
a press release on the team's official website. "In addition, there will be opportunities for several riders to go for stage wins. We are very deliberately focused on ourselves and our own plan. We have an optimal preparation behind us and with that, we think we can get the best possible result."

They should have included Ben Tulett - I'd put Tulett on par with Pavel Sivakov of UAD.
