A fantastic Mauro Schmid of Team Jayco AlUla has won the 2025 Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race after a phenomenal attack that left the top favourites helpless. He resisted in the final meters and soloed into the finish over a small group.

Behind Schmid, the podium was completed by New Zealanders Aaron Gate (XDS Astana Team) and Laurence Pithie (Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe) who could not repeat last year's triumph.

Rounding out the top 10 were Javier Romo, Andrea Bagioli, Corbin Strong, Magnus Sheffield, Rémy Rochas, Oscar Onley and Finn Fisher-Black.

The Australian WorldTour races at the beginning of the season finally came to an end with an important victory for Jayco, who, thanks to a phenomenal Schmid, took the win. The Swiss, who already had a great Vuelta a España, has started the season strong and with the same desire to attack.
