Mark Cavendish returns to racing - Manxman leads Astana at Tour of Turkey following retirement postponing

Mark Cavendish announced the news many hoped for, which is that his retirement has been postponed. The Manxman will race in 2024 but before thinking of the next season, he will lead Astana Qazaqstan Team at the Tour of Turkey.

This is his return to racing after his DNF at the Tour de France, following a crash and collarbone fracture. He will chase stage wins in the sprint stages with Gleb Syritsa and Cees Bol as a leadout, whilst Alexey Lutsenko and Harold Tejada will be candidates for the overall classification. Yevgeniy Fedorov and Michele Gazzoli complete the lineup also to ride in support of their leader in the sprints.

Alexey Lutsenko, Cees Bol, Harold Tejada, Yevgeniy Fedorov, Gleb Syritsa and Michele Gazzoli.
