Astana Qazaqstan Team are taking their leaders and a lot of the team to train at altitude for almost a month in Colombia to start off the 2024 season. This includes Mark Cavendish, his leadout, and Alexey Lutsenko who will all race the Tour Colombia.
After a round of key signings, in both riders and staff, Mark Cavendish remains in the peloton for another year and comes well prepared into the season. He starts his competition in Colombia with a few opportunities to take stage wins, and more modest competition. Alongside him Michael Morkov and Davide Ballerini who were signed from Soudal - Quick-Step, and Cees Bol.
However the team does not only come to the race with ambitions of winning a stage, they will also aim for the overall classification. Alexey Lutsenko and Harold Tejada will be taking to the start and will both be contenders for a strong result.
