It's very possible that at the end of the 2025
Tour de France, Taden Pogacar could stand on the podium as winner of the Yellow Jersey, the Polka-dot Jersey and the Green Jersey.
Jonathan Milan currently leads the points classification by 28 from Pogacar, but with sprint opportunities limited,
Lidl-Trek are starting get a little concerned.
"It will be very difficult to fight for the green jersey," admits Lidl-Trek DS
Steven de Jongh. "Pogacar can play it however he wants . The points classification is one of the goals we set ourselves coming to the Tour, along with winning stages. One came, two slipped away. We'll fight for the intermediate sprints, but we won't change our racing style. So we'll do our best in the remaining stages and try to win at least one more."
Speaking himself after stage 14, Milan admitted the difficulty he faces. "I never thought I could fight with Tadej, but at this point I'll do my best in every sprint and for every point."
With the second rest day reached, Milan does still top Points Classification standings, with the aforementioned lead of 28 over Pogacar.
Mathieu van der Poel can't be totally ruled out of the fight just yet either. The Dutchman currently sits 3rd in the standings with 210 points to his name, 41 down on Milan.
