Gleb Syritsa smiles despite enduring horrific injuries at 4 Jours de Dunkerque crash

Astana Qazaqstan Team have not lucked out yesterday at the 4 Jours de Dunkerque, as both Gleb Syritsa and Cees Bol crashed out of the opening bunch sprint. The Russian sprinter has showed his injuries but shockingly with a smile on his face.

A picture shared on Twitter by the Kazakh team shows the 23-year old apparently in good spirits on the team bus, naked as it shows the extensive amounts of road rash he endured in the fall. Despite this he rolled across the finish line and remains in the same time as most of the peloton as it was inside the final 3 kilometers, and is set to start stage 2.
