Tadej Pogacar is where many expected him to be at this stage of the 2025 UAE Tour, sitting atop the general classification. This comes after the Slovenian leader of UAE Team Emirates - XRG took his first win of the year on stage 3 atop Jebel Jais.
Pogacar timed his move to perfection on the final climb, using Jay Vine as an uphill leadout before accelerating clear towards victory inside the final kilometre. Thanks to this win, Pogacar now leads the general classification by 18 seconds from INEOS Grenadiers' Joshua Tarling, who fought admirably on the final climb to limit his losses and keep himself in contention for a high GC placing after his time trial win on stage 2. Completing the provisional podium is Movistar Team starlet Pablo Castrillo, who sits just one second ahead of teammate Ivan Romeo in the fight for third, with Finn Fisher-Black and the aforementioned Vine still very much in the mix also.
The top 10 is then completed by Giulio Ciccone, Pello Bilbao, Harold Tejada and Lennert van Eetvelt. See more of the general classification down below!
