The Paris Roubaix 2023 has 23 pavé sectors. 3 of them are 5-star, or in other words, of the highest difficulty. One has only one star of difficulty. We tell you about it in this article.
The 3 big sectors of Roubaix are the Trouée d'Arenberg, Mons-en-Pévèle and the Carrefour de l'Arbre. What makes these sectors so tricky is that the cobblestones are very uneven, the pace very extreme and there are very tight corners. All this together makes going through them a real hell.

in prizes! Sector number 1: Roubaix (Espace Crupelandt)
All this is in stark contrast to the only difficulty 1 sector in the 256km men's race. This is the last one the riders face in the race, just over a kilometer from the finish line. Entering Roubaix from the south, the riders face the final kilometers before the final sprint in the velodrome through the town of Roubaix and shortly before turning into it they will have to tackle section 1 (the countdown is from 29 to 1).
The Roubaix (Espace Charles Crupelandt) is only 300 meters long and has no irregularities or anything like that. The riders will hardly notice the change from asphalt to cobblestones at this stage and will only be thinking about the final sprint that will decide the race.
