Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale has dominated at Tro-Bro Leon 2025, taking a one-two finish at the line with
Bastien Tronchon leading home
Pierre Gautherat for a brilliant win.
Seven riders got themselves up the road early on, including Rudy Molard (Groupama - FDJ) and Fabian Lienhard (Tudor Pro Cycling Team) among others. With 71km to go though, Molard dropped back to the peloton, who themselves were only around a minute and a half down on the break.
After the initial break was caught inside the final 50km, the counter attacking moves quickly reignited the fighting up ahead of the peloton. Bastien Tronchon was leading those attacks, but his solo advantage was quickly evaporated as he took the wrong turning and ended up in a car park. Because of this mistake, Cees Bol and Hugo De La Calle joined Tronchon at the front. With 39km to go though, all three were caught by the chase.
With rider and rider attempting attack in the kilometres that followed, it was Uno-X Mobility's Frederik Dversnes that entered the final 15km as a solo leader. By 10km to go, the Norwegian had stretched that lead to 30 seconds over the chase group. At around 5km from the line though, Dversnes was joined by
Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale Team dup Tronchon and Pierre Gautherat. Moments later, disaster struck for the Uno-X man as he slid out at a corner, leaving the two teammates clear at the front.
From there, victory looked likely for the Decathon duo, the question was for who? In the end, the win went to Tronchon.
