Primoz Roglic crashed during the third day of racing at Itzulia Basque Country and that was the highlight of the day. The high-speed crash was a hit for the BORA - hansgrohe rider, and the German team share a first update on his condition.
"Initial examinations indicate that Roglic suffered superficial wounds on his right side, contusions and bruising," the team shared on Twitter. "A roadside assessment excluded concussion. A follow-up examination will be done at the hotel soon." More updates are possible later into the day, but for the time being good news emerge from the team's camp.
With 38 kilometers to go Roglic crashed, but the fall was not due to anyone else. Fan footage seemed to show the Slovenian sliding out in a corner, and sustained quite a bit of road rash. he was accessed for a concussion but luckily that possibility was ruled out soon after.
