Can Peter Sagan roll back the years in his final Paris-Roubaix? "Anything is possible" says the Slovakian

Racing Paris-Roubaix for the final time in his long and storied career, Peter Sagan refuses to rule out the possibility of rolling back the years and taking the win, just as he did back in 2018.

"That would be nice. Anything is possible," the 33-year-old told Cycling Pro Net prior to the race. “It has happened before that the favorites don't win and I will do my best. But we have certain things to deal with right now. Many things will also happen. My legs aren't great, but it's okay. I need one good day.”

As mentioned, the TotalEnergies star has lifted the most coveted cobble in cycling once before back in 2018 where Sagan, riding for BORA - hansgrohe at the time outsprinted Silvan Dillier in the Velodrome for his only taste of victory at the Hell of the North.

“It will also be very stressful," admits Sagan who is determined to try and enjoy himself and soak up the atmosphere at his final Paris-Roubaix before concluding, "but it is always a nice race to watch on television," giving a potential view of where Sagan will be this time next year.
