Magnus Cort Nielsen was the dominator of Gran Camiño in everything that didn't include a major climb. The Uno-X Mobility rider won stage 5, his third of the week; with Derek Gee sealing the overall win in an exciting stage that featured gravel sectors towards the end.

The final stage of the Galician race promised some spectacle towards the end. We've had sprints, mountains and a time-trial; and on the final day it were the gravel sectors and final circuit into Santiago de Compostela that promised a lot of fireworks in the final hour of racing.

A strong breakaway of nine riders was formed early in the day include Pedro Pinto, Nicolás Alustiza, Mats Wenzel, Josh Burnett, Martin Marcellusi, Clément Braz Afonso, Asier Gonazles, Fredrik Dversnes and Rafael Reis. In the final circuit Rémy Rochas attacked, catching the remaining breakaway riders and going solo off the front.

A tense peloton navigated the technical circuit, and eventually Rochas was caught with 12 kilometers to go. A few more attacks popped up, but Uno-X had a few riders to chase down those and Israel - Premier Tech's Derek Gee, looking to secure the yellow jersey, also did not want anyone to go off the front.

In the final sprint there was a relative lack of leadouts, which made it somewhat chaotic, but in the uphill gradients Magnus Cort Nielsen had no problem whatsoever in launching his sprint and immediately distancing his rivals. Carlos Canal finished second and Giovanni Lonardi was third.
