- Tall cycling socks are just lurid leg billboards. It's about time riders shifted back to what feels best. Right on, Primoz Roglic.
- The problem was that he trained more on explosivity and as a result lost some of the endurance that was his hallmark
- The uno rider caused the accident. If pogacar did something stupid then not waiting would have been ok
- I am still asking my self what happened between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024… this cicling is boring me now..
- What a pointless piece of advice. Do you have any idea how Jonas, or any other rider/person ticks?
Everyone excels due to different stimuli and using what works for someone else can completely backfire for you.
Some find strength in anger, adversity, revenge, hate, others in duty, love, family, relationships, religion, serenity, preparation, belief or a few dozen other sources.
I think he and those around him know best what will bring out his best.
- Of course they’re stunned.
Almost 41.5 average on a tough mountain stage in the middle of a really tough Tour averaging over 44.5 so far?
If they average only 40 for the rest of the Tour they’ll still explode the record and end up with an average of (my estimate) 42.8. Obviously most cannot keep that up without some kind of revolutionary change otherwise they’d have done way better in past editions too.
AND, unlike in many previous fast Tours, the wind has played very little this year.
- Narvaez put the hurt on Jonas, just before Tadej attacked. Would love to see Lipowitcz challenge for second place.
- It is what it is. No excuses!
- So far the Tour de France has been exactly the same as the preparation races. I think it would be good for Jonas to work with Florian. There were only around 10 seconds separating them in the end, so together I think they could have limited their losses better.
- Having already won a Tour or two, what, in the end, is more important to you and your legacy? A third title, or someone seen as an honorable person who won the right way? I hunt, and the concept of "fair chase" is ingrained in hunters, or it should be. The same in any sport. The venison doesn't really taste all that good if taken legally but unfairly.
