Toon Aerts victorious at Gravel Fondo Limburg, qualifies for World Championships in October

Toon Aerts finally knows what winning is again. The Belgian from Deschacht Hens Maes recorded his first victory since February 6, 2022 with the Gravel Fondo Limburg on Sunday. In Valkenburg he defeated Piotr Havik and Adne Koster.

After nearly three hours of racing, Aerts was the first to cross the line, after a sprint against Piotr Havik. Havik's fellow Dutch compatriot Adne Koster rounded up the podium. In the top 10, we can find also stars such Greg Van Avermaet (6th), Jan Bakelants (8th) or Johnny Hoogerland (5th).

All of these riders have qualified for autumn's gravel World Championships in Leuven, scheduled for early October.
