  There’s already a designated rider representative, organisers didn’t bother to talk to him before deciding. Theory is great, in practice things get far more complex, how can you allow the race leader influencing things without provoking or arousing suspicion of conflicts of interest? I think this was a cheap shot from Gilbert who should take car not to grow into the latter half 21st century Lefevre.
