With Tadej Pogačar not on the start line, this Sunday's World Championship road race in Montréal promises to be wide open. The challenging course and lack of one overwhelming favourite make predicting the new World Champion particularly difficult — and selecting the right Fantasy team even more interesting.
The Voie Camillien-Houde (1.7 kilometres at 7.4%) will be one of the key climbs, although its summit comes more than 10 kilometres from the finish. That leaves the door open to attacks, tactical racing and several different scenarios in the battle for the rainbow jersey.
Remco Evenepoel, Isaac Del Toro and Paul Seixas are among the leading contenders, while Mathieu van der Poel, Tom Pidcock and Wout van Aert will also have their eyes on the world title. Italy and the United States bring strong teams with several potential winners.

- any rider less than 25 whether they are really ready for the position of leadership of GT is probably not the case. I think Pogi himself suffered when he was defeated by Jonas in the TDF twice. But that would be the team's job to ensure support so that they can bounce back. It requires a team and time to get back up and win after getting knocked down.abstractengineer07-11-2026

- Surely the UCI and the race organisers have a responsibility to ensure the best medical care is available to riders when incidents like this happen. All very well pushing for global expansion but not so good if riders lives are put at risk because medical support is not up to scratch.Andy12306-11-2026
