- I was really hoping Simon would go "all or nothing", but expected him to ride for 3rd. Glad Visma went "all in" for the win!
- I watch because I enjoy a contest, even when it's lopsided. Hooray to the winner, respect to the loser. Quitters I dislike.. when you join a race, finish it. Otherwise, just stay home.
- I think that just sitting up like he did showed his tactical immaturity. He has a lot of potential, and I've no doubt that he'll learn from these errors in the future.
- I bet that nobody saw that coming. That was a beautiful redemption ride from Simon Yates today, and a very clever one as well. He's dosed his efforts nicely during this entire Giro, and managed to exploit the stalemate between del Toro and Carapaz exactly the right time. It was good to see that the Visma team got their tactics right today as well, with Wout being his awesome self once again. What a great Giro this has been!
- Del toro just gave up. he should have kept Yates in range. The team DS should have managed the tactics better especially with satellite riders
- What a day at the Giro! Why they let Yates go I'll never know, he finally conquered the Colle delle Finestre in dramatic fashion. He can now forget about 2018. Good on him!
- That was a great surprise!! Not many saw this one coming :-) Congrats to Simon Yates and great team tactics from Visma with Wout van Aert waiting for him. Great stage!!
- I've gone into great detail in the past, not just about Merckx but about other great champions. We will never really know, all I can do from my perspective is look at data.
- You need that SiS beta fuel to win this stage. Or at least that's what Chris Froome said in that ad.
- We should all learn something from his teammate Tiej. Never express your frustration when your heart rate is high. Wait till it lowers.
