Mauro Gianetti, DS of UAE Team Emirates knows what to expect from the mountain stages at the Tour de France. After testing the competition in the opening two stages, he argues that the main duo will surely be on the attack once again on stage 5.

"We know Tadej, if there is the possibility of winning, he will not brake. We know that Pogacar and Vingegaard like to test themselves, so I do not think they will look at each other in any case," UAE DS Mauro Gianetti told Cyclism'actu. This was shown on the opening two days at the Basque Country, and as the race enters it's first mountain range, more moves are expected.

The first day in the Pyrenees features tough ascents and bonus seconds at the top of the Col de Marie Blanque, which features 4.8 kilometers at 10.5%. The two enter the stage with small time gaps, riding into Laruns where Pogacar won his first Tour de France stage three years ago.
