Warren Barguil to make Giro d'Italia debut as Team Arkea Samsic announce their race lineup

The mercurial Frenchman Warren Barguil will make his Giro d'Italia bow as leader of the Team Arkea Samsic lineup as the French-based team becomes the latest to confirm their 8-man squad.
Barguil is a former stage winner at both the Tour de France and the Vuelta a Espana plus a former King of the Mountains winner at his home Grand Tour back in 2017. As he looks to complete the hat-trick of Grand tour stage wins he will be supported by a team that will hope it can provide some success.

Alongside Barguil will be the experienced Frenchman, Maxime Bouet, Dutch rider David Dekker in his first year with the team, the French trio of Thibault Guernalec, Alan Riou and Clément Russo plus the 25-year-old Michel Ries and the Italian prospect Alessandro Verre.
