VIDEO: Primoz Roglic gets lost in Lisbon ahead of Vuelta team presentation: "Actually I just wanted the podium to myself"

Quite unusual sight at the team presentation of the Vuelta a Espana 2024. During the presentation of Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe, only seven of the German team's riders made an appearance on the podium, instead of eight. Missing was the main star Primoz Roglic. Not even his teammates had any idea where the Slovenian was.

"We don't know where he is either," said his superdomestique and potentially Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe's substitute leader Daniel Felipe Martínez. The Colombian tells in amazement that they waited for him in vain at the hotel. So what happened with Roglic?

After a short while, the presenter announced that the Slovenian top favourite for the final victory got lost in Lisbon, where the Gran Salida will take place this Saturday. Eventually, Roglic showed up a little later – all alone. He could laugh about it: "I was still waiting at the hotel. But actually I just wanted the podium to myself."

Behind the scenes, the Slovenian also took the time to visit his old teammates from Visma | Lease a Bike with a big smile. He greeted his friends and wished them good luck.
