The relentlessly attacking racing continued at the 2023 Tour de France with yet another stage that will live long in the memory on stage 10. Pello Bilbao took an emotional victory from the breakaway in honour of the much-missed Gino Mader.
After an infernal opening hour, a fourteen-rider breakaway finally managed to get clear. Best placed in the general classification was Bilbao and thanks to his victory, which he took in a final sprint ahead of Georg Zimmerman and Ben O'Connor, the Basque rider for Bahrain - Victorious has now leapt up to 5th in the GC, right back into the race for the podium.
