Victor Lafay over the moon after Tour de France stage win: "I still don't believe it. I have given everything"

Victor Lafay is one of the standout riders so far at the start of the 2023 Tour de France. On the first stage he was the only one who held out against Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard on Pike and in the second stage he surprised the Jumbo-Visma train on the finish line to attack and take victory.

Speaking afterwards, he was very happy after the victory. "I still don't believe it. I have given everything, I have made a maximum effort, I did not know if I was going to win, I saw the finish line and I saw on my counter that there was less and less left, 400 meters, 300 meters, I had to go all the way, yesterday I reached the finish line somewhat frustrated and to have achieved it today is crazy".

"I have seen that Jumbo had worked a lot in the last kilometres, Wout himself had worked, so I waited for my chance and got the victory", finished the Cofidis rider.
