The new UCI rankings reveal changes at the bottom of the standings, as Cofidis has climbed back up the standings to leave the last maintenance position, whilst at the bottom Israel - Premier Tech begins to reach an unsalvageable position.
This week has seen several semi-classics in Belgium and Italy, the World Championships' Time-Trial, the Skoda Tour Luxembourg and Tour of Slovakia. This has created an interesting mix of races, in which Cofidis took advantage of to take 481 points and climb into 16th position, overtaking EF Education-EasyPost and Team BikeExchange - Jayco who now sits 18th place.
The Australian team now sit 653 points ahead of Lotto Soudal who have had a strong week but remains in a dangerous position.

Movistar Team kept their surge to flee out of the battle and now sit almost 700 points ahead of BikeExchange. Arkéa Samsic sit behind in 15th position, one however that sees less than 300 points advantage over 18th position.
Away from all this however is Israel - Premier Tech who've scored only 89 points, losing even more ground on the teams that are fighting for the World Tour position. They now stand almost 1600 points behind BikeExchange and would need a miracle to survive at the top level of cycling, as team manager Sylvan Adams prepares legal action against the UCI because of it.
