Tour of Norway: Ethan Hayter wins chaotic stage two

Ethan Hayter has emerged victorious from the second day of racing in the Tour of Norway, a short and sharp stage which has seen big splits due to the climbing and the strong winds and has made a selection for the overall classification.

The 123 kilometer long stage between Ulvik and Geilo featured a long ascent which saw several sprinters getting dropped. With no ascent, just a constant plateau all the way into the finish, the wind also carved through the peloton and saw a group of just over 20 riders head into the final kilometers ahead.

The final kilometers were flat and hence didn't allow for gaps to be created, and the group went into a sprint finish in which Ethan Hayter was the fastest. He beat Mike Teunissen and Tobias Johannessen to the line - the Norwegian has became the new race leader due to the bonifications.
