Tom Pidcock has made his race yesterday by winning the final stage in the Alps, however the
INEOS Grenadiers rider admitted that he's still looking for more success at the
Tour de France, after finally showing his best form and consistency.
Pidcock told the media after his win: "I just have become very used to riding a bike in situations where it’s on the limit of control. I grew up riding my bike. I rode to school every day. I’d detour through the woods, drifting in the mud and I’d come home and my uniform was completely dirty.”
After joining the day's breakaway, the 22-year old managed to ride away from his rivals on the Alpe d'Huez. Already having an incredibly successful career, yesterday's triumph came as another step in his career on the road, and has also seen him back on the Top10 which he's been fighting for.
However, he admits he's not done yet. “I’ve won a stage of the Tour so I’m pretty satisfied. But yeah, I compare myself to Pogacar and these guys. I have bigger ambitions in this race in the future after this," he said.
